Study On Development Strategy Of Brather Trade Between Yanbian And DPRK

As our country carries out overall reform and opening strategy, the strategy to develop western regions and succeeded in accession to WTO, the border trade, regarded as essential supplement in foreign trade for a long time, has been of more and more importance. In the 1980s, the main trading means was border trade between Yanbian and DPRK, which was taken the place of by S.Korea and Russia by the middle of 1990s.In recent years, the relations between the South and the North of Korea have been developing and DPRK has been adjusting its economy, which has brought about a new opportunity to develop the trade between Yanbian and DPRK. Yanbian may as well take advantage of the special kinship between DPRK and S.Korea to stimulate its low-speed economic development affected by the universal depression of the world economy. Not only does the development in Yanbian trading with DPRK facilitate developing Yanbian economy, but also enhances the cooperation among the countries and areas in Northeast Asia and creates new historical opportunities to develop Tumen River areas as well. The economic cooperation among Northeast Asian countries facilitates their prosperity and stability.This paper consists of seven parts.
