The modern financial industry is composed of insurance, banking and security. According to Chinese law, life insurance and property insurance must be parted to manage. These years, Chinese economic system are changed from planning economy to marketing economy. The pace of reformation and open to world go faster. China joined WTO. According to the items of service trade, China will open insurance market step by step. More foreign insurance companies pay attention to Chinese insurance market which is potential. Native insurance companies go faster to the challenge of foreign companies.The population of Sichuan province is listed secondly in provinces of China. The insurance market of Sichuan is big. Now there are six insurance companies in Sichuan. Many foreign insurance companies set up agency in Sichuan and are ready to enter the market. The competition of the companies is drastic. The strategy is important to get advantage and development.This paper totally includes six sections, and the first section introduced the development history of insurance industry, and introduced the Chinese insurance industry. At the same time, out looked the future of the industry. The second section introduced the object Pacific Life Insurance Company the development in Sichuan market. The third section is the analysis part, it analyzed the market of Sichuan , include population, economics, technology, policies and culture. Thefourth section analyzed the competition of the market and established the competitive strategy., use competition structure (5F model analysis) to analyze the industry and use the SWOT to analyze the company's advantages and disadvantages, opportunities and threats. It also choose the strategy in Sichuan market. The fifth section established the marketing strategy based on the third and the fourth sections after market segmenting and targeting. It also choose the targeting market of the products. The six section established the marketing tactics mix, include the product, price and place tactics.This paper systematically constructed the marketing strategy of Pacific Life Insurance Company in Sichuan region, not only set up the analysis frame for marketing strategy, and also clearly formulated the strategically executive plan, it provides an example of marketing strategy formulation and has practice value to the branch of life insurance company in market of a province.
