The Law of Wildlife Protection of People's Republic of China has been put into force for 15 years. It played important role in the protection and development of wildlife resources. But with the establishment of the system of socialistic market economy, new situations and problems emerged constantly; the most significant problem is the weakness of adjustment of the industry management. Up to date, the legislation system about the wildlife industry is still insufficient although it has been recognized widely. This paper systematically analyzed the status and problems in the current industry of wildlife, and referenced successful experience of industrial management in other countries, and consequently put forward suggestions as follow: (1). Setup an administrative institution, named Administrative Committee of Wildlife Industry, specifically for the management of the wildlife industry. (2). Introduce some systems into the management of wildlife industry, e. g. the System of the Administration of Special Market, the System of Examination. Identification and Marking Certification, the System of Certificate, the System of quota Management, the System of Auction of Staple Products and the System of Resource Compensation etc. (3). Consummate the right of ownership of wildlife, e. g. under the precondition of protecting wildlife resource, the ownership right of wildlife could be attorned with compensation and the state should protect the legal right and benefit of whom has obtained wildlife and their products legally. (4) Constitute a law of wildlife industry preconditioned by consummating the ownership right of wildlife, framed by the systems mentioned above, principled with coordination of protection and utilization, macroscopical regulation and control and sustainable development, based on the system of classification management, and supported with science and technology.
