The Research Of Web Based PDM Used In Establishing Virtual Enterprise

The web based data transmission technology provides foundation to the share of the global electronic information. Web based PDM system was considered as the natural extend of distributed product data management. Virtual enterprise (VE) that realized based on the development of web & multi-media technology is such enterprise patterns that duly develop, produce and sell product cooperate with producer, provider and seller.After discussing the web based PDM system, this paper combine framework and function analysis of PDM to explain why needs webbed PDM and how to webbed PDM. Then, from the view of architecture, function description and configuration of web environment to discuss the virtue of integrate web and PDM technology. Some webbed PDM software is introduced as samples.For the sake of discussing effect of web technology on establishing VE, the types, functions and characteristics of VE are explained, and from this to educe complexity analysis. To explain the function model of VE, three aspects of VE are presented; there are survival periods, foundation framework and VE creating on supply & requirement orientation. Information integration and sharing method are presented by the end of this chapter to show the resources and information configuration inner VE.Web based PDM system and VE is massaged and described together to bring forward a feasible VE model that based on web based PDM system. To explain the function of the model, foundation of the model' framework is illustrated: status of PDM in the model, layer amalgamation of PDM and VE, hardware and software support, after that, network environment, supply & requirement pattern and management method of VE are also presented. Then an applied VE model is created by integrating web, PDM and VE, and its function is also introduced.Data transmission pattern and security management of VE are specially discussed. After introducing data transmission direction and location, data standardization is discussed by integrate data transmission among different systems. Function and application of STEP, EDI and HGML areanalyzed. To work cooperatively on web, multi-step agent modeling and application that based on CORBA is narrated. Security purview, group organization and flow management are presented to discuss security management of the VE model system.From the principle and VE model talked above, according to the process of concurrently product development of a engine manufacturer, a separately & concurrently designing and manufacturing system is created, which support foundation, running and disassembly of VE, and then, logic construction, database framework and some functions that realized by program of the system is also introduced.
