Manufacturing enterprises are backbones of the economy of a country. In the developed countries, about 60~80% fortune are made by manufacturing enterprises. China will join WTO soon, so national manufacturing enterprises have to take part in the global competition. The competition of enterprises are their competence, so it is important for the government and the enterprises to improve the competence of the enterprises. This dissertation propose a way by analyzing advanced manufacturing modes, studying virtual enterprises and forecasting future market and products based on national situation. The way is virtual manufacturing enterprises in a certain region.This dissertation states the content and implementation of virtual manufacturing enterprises in a certain region by analyzing manufacturing enterprises' essence and processes. The alliance will support all product processes and life cycle of members. Enterprises join the preparative alliance as members. When opportunity appears, they can build up a virtual enterprise quickly based on the preparative alliance.The key factors to implementing the idea are as follows:1. Alliance contents and implementing mode conformed to China situation.2. Information technology. Members in a virtual enterprise should communicate with each other as efficiently as they are membership within a company.3. Methods. Supporting the cooperation among members, such as the sharing resources expressing and modeling, partners selection, benefit assignment,etc.An alliance center should be erected according to our analyzing for information communication among members and the art of state of IT application in national enterprises. We classify required information into three categories: common information, engineering information and business information. Accordingly three platforms are studied and constructed by Internet in the alliance center. Information platforms are as follows:1. Common information platform. It aids members to acquire useful information, release correlative information and make decisions. Its technical supports are web database and WWW. The platform is the sustenance of a preparative alliance.2. Engineering information platform. It aids members to interchange product information and process information. We propose macro-PDM system integrating common product information and macro processes information management. We establish a framework of macro RDM system, and do some research about relative information technique. How to use PDM, web, CORE A, STEP in our system is stated.3. Business information platform. It is used to integrate business information among members. Here only invoices relative information(EDI) is paid attention to. Andhow it can be realized on the web is studied.Resources sharing is the base of the alliance, so members should be aware of sharing resources, and know the competence of their partners. In order to express sharing resources, we classify the sharing resources, and encode them with three segments flexible mode. The sharing resource models are proposed, and a sharing resource database system is constructed to support alliance.A virtual enterprise model is helpful to simulate the operation of a virtual enterprise. This dissertation does some research in modeling virtual enterprise. It states how to model business processes, activities, organizations and resources by object oriented method. As regards to making decision in a virtual enterprise, we discuss partner selection and profit assignment. Key factors concerned with partner selection are given, and we dispose this problem by artificial inteiligence. In market economy environment, profit assignment can be regarded as game theory. We study how to solve this problem by game theory.Members are masters of an alliance. It is very important to make member enterprises agile.
