Investigation On The Development Of Processing Trade In China

With the development of economic globalization, producing internationalization becomes the trend of the age. On this background, processing trade becomes one of the most important forms of international trade. In substance, processing trade means accomplishing different kinds of working procedure in different countries according to their technical content. In this way, products can be produced at lower cost.China has made great success of developing processing trade for the last 20 years. Now processing trade is the most important form of China's foreign trade. Processing trade acts an important role in the development of China's economy. But there are some serious problems in the development of processing trade. So, some experts advocate restricting the development of process trade in China. I want to analyze this problem in the thesis.This thesis consists of five chapters. Chapter 1 deals with the research background of this thesis. In chapter 2, the author discusses some theories about processing and explains why China needs to develop processing trade. In chapter 3, the author reviews the development, current situation, and policy of China's processing trade, and analyzes the function and major problems of China's processing trade. In chapter 4, the author analyzes the experience we can learn from Taiwan, South Korea, and Mexico in developing processing trade. In Chapter 5, the author analyzes the influence of China's WTO entry on the development of its processing trade, and gives some detailed advice for the development of processing trade in China.
