Research On The Opration Development Stradegy Of Industrial And Commercial Bank Of China

This thesis first sets a practical analysis and evaluation on the position of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (hereinafter referred as ICBC) in China's banking and its contributions to the development of national economy. It also unveils the present major problems that exist in ICBC's operation and management. Then, it conducts a deep analysis on the outside environment that influence ICBC's operation strategy from three aspects: the development of banks, both domestic and international, the changes to happen in Chinas economy structure, and the opportunities and challenges lying before China's banks. Moreover, the thesis brings up the fundamental operation strategies of commercial banks, along with the principles in determining the operation strategies. With this, the thesis illustrates the guidelines for ICBC to choose its operation strategy as well as the strategic target, strategic focus and strategic measures for it to adopt in operation. In the end, the thesis puts forward the measures that ICBC should take in readjusting its operation strategy, that is, ownership reform, function completion, operation improvement and human resource development.
