Study On The Economic Integration Of Great Pearl River Delta Urban Agglomerations Oriented Economic Globalization

The existence of urban agglomerations is characterized of regional urbanization and urban regionalization, which is the most advanced phenomenon in the process of regional urbanization, and moreover that is created by the interaction of conglomeration and diffusion. Nowadays, urban agglomerations have been the new fundamental regional unit, which is to join global competition and international division of labor. In general, they will influence the international competitiveness of state and also are most significant to the stable development of the national economy. All will mean that the new creative international competitiveness are originated from urban agglomerations.Specially, the economic globalization and regional economic integration should concentrate on the power of urban agglomerations. Economic globalization means the labor division, communication, cooperation and competition of global economy will actually proliferated more and more. On this background of economic globalization, the international competition will gradually develop to the competition of the urban agglomerations, which will be focused on the capabilities of economic resources conglomerations and integration.This paper oriented economic globalization is to discuss on the economic integration of the Great Pearl River Delta Urban Agglomerations by six aspects:Firstly, the author reviews the oversea and native research of urban agglomerations, and make a systematic expound the theories of the economic integration of urban agglomerations.Secondly, the author pays attention to the each stage and its features of evolution of economic globalization, and then base on the new influences, such as economy, society and technology, the author is to talk about the urban agglomerations of China on the background of development of globalization and the China's entry to the WTO.On the third, the paper analyzes the basis of economic integration with a synthesis view on their natural condition, historic basis, cultural tradition, dynamics and so on. and then the recent and prospective goal of Great Pearl River Delta Urban Agglomerations are carried out.On the forth, the formative mechanism and development features of economic development system of urban agglomerations are been elaborated, the author makes a further study on the mechanism of economic integration of Great Pearl River Delta Urban Agglomerations. And then gives a retail discussion on integration goal and the four models has been brought forward.Finally, the author puts forward some strategies to the economic integration.
