Study On The Main Body Construction Of Chinese Political Civilization In Current Social Transformational Period

Since the introduction of the opening-up policies more than 20 years ago, China has undergone dramatic changes and accelerating developing period, which is also called current social transformational period. The current social transformation has promoted profound changes socially and politically without any alteration of fundamental socialist system. Under these circumstances old planned economic system is deteriorating and in its wake people's concepts, political orientation and way of thinking are shaking and coming into conflict with one another. The study on the main body construction of Chinese political civilization helps to maintain social stability and speed socialist modernization. At present, many studies and achievements have been made in this field, but it is still not sufficient and thorough. Based on the study results of many distinguishing experts, the paper tries to make some further studies on the Chinese political civilization in current transformational period and seek for a way out to the main body construction of Chinese political civilization so as to make some humble contribution to it.The thesis consists of three chapters besides the introductory one. The first chapter introduces the theoretical patterns. This part begins with a comprehensive introduction to a variety of existing definitions of political civilization and then makes the author's own definition. This part further explains the characteristics of political civilization and gives a detailed introduction to its contents, types, features and function respectively.The second chapter concentrates on the analysis of the main body of current Chinese political civilization. This part first gives a brief introduction to the historical background - the current Chinese social transformational period and later makes a detailed analysis of the importance of the main body construction of Chinese political civilization in the transformational period.The third chapter is the major body as well as the core of the paper. Based on the previous thorough analysis of the existing problems during the main body construction of Chinese political civilization in this transformational period, the paper comes up with some practical solutions to these problems, of which the most important one is the transformation from traditional subordinate culture to participation culture. In currentsocial transformational period, two things need to be done urgently: Firstly, it is to promote the self-consciousness and establish the key social role of the general citizens. Secondly, it is to strengthen the general education. Political participation is the most comprehensive political conduct and practices of the general citizens. Through the analysis of the civil political participation at present, the paper tries to provide the political participation with some legal and orderly strategies.
