Political Civilization Farmerist Transformation

This thesis traces the relationship between political culture and political civilization, and talks about how to make the consciousness of small peasant, as a principal part of the Chinese political culture, into modernity. The thesis indicates that the civilization can be shared, but not be transplanted in haste. We must attach importance to our various existing political resources when we make use of the harvest of the political civilization. The consciousness of small peasant is basically opposite and antipathy to the goal of the socialistic political civilization. To sweep the obstacles of the construction of the political civilization, we must houseclean the influence of the consciousness of small peasant to the core. In addition to the introduction and tag, the thesis consists of three chapters. The first chapter is the summarization of related theory. In track of the harvest on the consciousness of small peasant in the nation and abroad, we put forward that the method of study in this thesis; and, we put forward the basic relationship between the consciousness of small peasant and the political civilization on the basis of the definition of such concepts. The second chapter deals with the negative influence of the consciousness of small peasant in the contemporary Chinese political system, and we point out the cause of the survive of the consciousness of small peasant through the analysis of our historic tradition, limitation of our political system, and leading political culture. Part three is countermeasure; we make the construction of contemporary Chinese political culture as principal axis that how to reconstruct the consciousness of small peasant on the way to construction of political civilization.
