With the acceleration of the world economic globalization and the expansion of free-trade worldwide, tariff and non-tariff wall as means' of trade protection are gradually weakening or being broken down. Instead, a wholly new way of trade protection steps quietly on the stage of international trade, which is the sight-catching green trade barrier. Green trade barrier, also called green barrier, is a way to limit the products from abroad in the name of protecting limited resources, ecological environment and the health of human being through the making of strict and bitter environmental standards. Green trade barrier have found a great impact upon our foreign trade because of its apparent reasonableness and innate secrecy. After having entered into the WTO, Chinese products will directly meet the obstacle of green barrier in the international market if Chinese products want to get into the market. How to break through the obstacle and prompt the rapid development of our foreign trade is a very important problem for Chinese government and enterprises. Under such circumstances it' s very meaningful either in theory or in practice to carefully study the contents, characteristics and styles of the green trade barrier, and analyses the influence of the green trade barrier upon our foreign trade combining with specific cases, face the opportunities and challenges green trade barrier bring for our foreign trade, put forward operative corresponding measure, push actively the development of trade and environment in order to promote the continuous development of our foreign trade. Simultaneously this paper focus on the influence that the green trade barrier brings on our import, putting forward its view that we should establish our own TBT framework.
