| Since the establishment of the Chinese futures market at the 90 years in the last century, it has gone through a road full of wind and rain. It developed very rapidly at the initial time, but it followed the long road of the criterion and neaten. Today it is not the question that whether to develop futures market or not, but how to develop it. In recent years especially 2001 year Chinese futures market go active gradually. The reason as follows. Firstly, spot market go active, which is the base of futures market, the dealing in the spot market go active, the price of which fluctuates very tempestuous, it must lead to active in the futures market. Secondly, the policy become better, the higher decision - makers have a bad impression because of the mad gamble in the futures market in initial time. So they have restricted the development of futures market. But the function of the Chinese futures market is showing today after the course of criterion and neaten. The higher decision - makers have realized the importance of the futures market. Thirdly, the part of capital transfers from the stock market to futures market because of the stagnation of the stock market, which drives the futures market to go active.In the recent years, the economics of China develops very rapidly, which has become the focus of the whole world. But there occur some severe problems in the course of the development, for example, the problem of the economic difference, especially the difference between urban and rural become larger and larger. The income of the urban people increases rapidly, but the income of the rural people is stagnate. If this condition goes on, its effects are very severe, because it is not only economic problem, but also is political problem. Today this problem has lead to abroad attention. The problem of enhancing boorish income is a complex systemic problem, which needs the effort of the whole society. The Chinese futures market has a short history of ten years, the president of DaLian Commodity Exchange Zhu Yu Chen said: "the Chinese futures market had developed ten years, it should and has ability to give contribution to increase boorish income. So it provides another road of increasing boorish income, at the same time the futures market can get a full development.In the score of which I can research, I find many specialists scholars have put forward the idea on the subject, but most of which are scattered and unsystematic, I putforward my own idea after referring to this document. The thesis is based on the work of these specialists. I give thanks them heartily.The whole dissertation is divided into four parts: The First part summarize the futures market, at first I put forward the definition of the futures market, which is not uniform since the futures market appears. The thesis analyses this problem and put forward some popular definitions. I put forward my own definition about the futures market after analyzing these definitions.In the following parts I analyze the theory of the futures market on the primary products, which is the academic base of the thesis. The futures market is an advanced market. The appearance is not occasional, but it is a certain result of the development of market economy. The modern futures market arises from Chicago. Since the specialty of primary products' concentrated supply and consumption on the whole year. Primary products come into the market in great deal in the crown of the year. But in a low season, the price of primary products rises very high, which leads to a great loss for producer and consumer. There occurs a new market for dealing with problem, this is the futures market.The Second part analyses the actuality of the Chinese futures market. The history of the Chinese futures market is short. But it has gone through a devious road. The most part of the operation becomes normative after criterion and neaten. It exerts its function partly.
