Research On The Environmental Problems In The Process Of Urbanization

Urbanization and urban environmental construction is of the strategic importance to the development of the current society and economy. Generally, the speed of urbanization can be considered as an indicator to reflect the level of economic development of a country or an area. Industrialization and urbanization in a rural area is the only way to realize modernization in the city. But the increasing environmental problems emerged with the urbanization would affect the quality of living condition seriously and become an obstacle in the process of modernization of both rural and urban areas.Internal and external study development of urban environmental construction was illustrated and conclusion of four theories that were those of flexible increasing, ecological carrying capacity, Environmental Kuznets Curve hypothesis and sustainable development were made in the thesis. According to the theories quoted above, a frame of a new theory and concerned presupposition were formed.With the viewpoint of sustainable development, the successful methods used in the environmental control of Zhangjiawo, a population' s town located in Xinqing district,Tianjin city, were found and concluded. They are protection of land by "thee concentrations", function areas division of the town and priority to the developments of no pollution industries and green or ecological agriculture. Based on the analysis results of environmental pollution emerged in Zhangjiawo, population s over growth, deficient investment in environment protection and policy-making mistake were thought as sources of environmental problems, furthermore the economy increasing and the changes of concept about environment were considered as key ways to solve the problems. In the end, the models about how to accelerate basic environmental installation construction and to limit expanded scale of small cities were built and the principle of multiple environmental monitors was realized. As a result, new concepts of environment control were generated.
