Researches On Industrial Competitive Advantage And Countermeasures In Shanghai

In the eighty's of the 20th century, Porter published his great scientific findings " Competitive Advantage"," Competitive Strategy" and " National Competitive Advantages" in succession, put forward " diamond model" and gradually established the basic theoretical frame of industrial competitive advantage.Based on the lessons, which fully draw from of Porter's competitive advantage theory, this paper introduces" field" theory and puts forward the concept of "industrial competitive field". Industrial competitive field is a vector field. On the premise of this, various kinds of key elements of influencing the competitive field of industry are vectorized, and then the "Industry Potential Function", which becomes the foundation of carrying on theoretical and quantitative analysis is put forward. The paper is composed of seven parts. The first part analyzes the necessity and urgency of the industrial competitive advantage in the present peria. With the construction of metropolis of Shanghai, the industrial economy must take the most advanced theory as the guide, and has the priority to develop at different levels, which combine with the present development of Shanghai economy. The second part is the part of theoretical analysis, which analyzes the theories of comparative advantage and competitive advantage, vectorizes the key elements influencing industry competitive advantage and proposes "industrial potential function", which is the most important line in this paper. The third part deals with the international analysis of the evolvement of advantageous industry, which takes Hong Kong, Singapore as examples. Based on this, the paper orientates the competitive advantage of Shanghai. The fourth part analyzes the mechanism that the industrial competitive advantage of Shanghai has developed since the Reform and Opening-up of China. The rest parts present modes on "Current situation analysis, Appraising and predicting, Proposing the countermeasures". Analyzing the four variables of the "Industry Potential Function", this paper sets up the competitive advantage index system, and scores the industries of Shanghai in the comprehensive way by "Principal Component Analysis" with SPSS10.0. According to comprehensive evaluement, this paper classifies industries into competitive industries, equipollent industries and inferior industries and also makes a reservation and prediction to the trend of industries development of Shanghai. Finally, according to the classification of industries in Shanghai, the paper puts forward the relative countermeasures and suggestions to the three different industrial groups.
