International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code which will take effect completely on 1 July 2004 provides an international workform for the security of ships and ports. In the paper, it is discussed on influences of ISPS Code on duties and rights which fulfilled or entitled by carrier and shipper when it performs international contract of carriage of goods by sea, and on influence on the insurer and the insured .This paper tries to study the following aspects in details: (1) the effect to "the duty of seaworthy " and the criteria in carrying out "due diligence", (2) the effect to duty of the shipper and consignee, (3) the effect to the duty of the Assured as regards the contract of marine insurance,(4) the measures that should take.
