Since the late 20th century, the trend of financial globalization featuredwith Merger and Acquisition (M&A) has been quickened, and the internationalfinancial system has experienced the most acute transform, the internationalbanking running into a mess, the list of banks experiencing a dramatic change,the paces of banking internationalization quickening, and the new networkbanks appearing. After China's entrancing of WTO, the economy of China also joined intothe course of globalization. Finance, which is the nerve center, becomes moreand more important. Facing the banking internationalization, the quantumchallenge is how to realize the successful amalgamation of commercial banksbetween China's and abroad. Thus this paper will in turn analyze the featuresof banking internationalization, actuality of commercial banks of all thecountries, the influence of M&A, and then put forward some advices for thecommercial banks of China basing on the positive and normative studies. This paper consists of five chapters. The first chapter mainly probes into the background of the bankinginternationalization and the concerned theory. So we can comprehended that itis under the background of financial globalization that the bankinginternationalization developed and the acquirement of competition benefit isthe inside power. Chapter 2 positively probes into the actuality of the world banking. In thischapter, A lot of data is used to compare the world banking. We can clearlycomprehend that a large-scale M&A for the purpose of low cost and highcompetition is brewed both on the developed and burgeoning marketablecountries. Chapter 3 mainly probes into the two forms of the bankinginternationalization. In the analysis of the banking internationalization of the developedcountries, the thrice M&A climaxes are reviewed firstly. The first one (fromthe late 19th century to the early 20th century) was mainly featured withinternal recomposing and recombination, which involved many but smallbanks. The second one (from 1960's to 1980's) was featured with internationalrecomposing and recombination, in which course the trend of bankingglobalization appeared and the multinational banks come into being. After the1980's, an expansionary financial supervision climax has been raised. Manydeveloped countries began to abolish outdated financial supervisionregulations, and to open the financial markets more. The grandest M&A dramaof the late 20th century has been played, in which, America, the WesternEurope and Japan became leading actors. The feature for this M&A embodiedthat more countries and regions were involved and more scale was formed. Moreover, the reasons for above are distinguished as external and internalfactors. The external factors include technology, economic development andpolicies etc. And the internal factors include pursues for market forces,efficiency, various operation, tax profit etc. Lastly, the crucial influence to the financial globalization and bankingstructure is analyzed. In the analysis of the banking internationalization of the burgeoningmarketable countries, the author mainly probes into the actuality, causes andinfluence that the international banking system penetrates into the burgeoningmarketable countries. In this course, the Middle Europe, Latin America andAsia become the main objects.
