Community Tourism And Feature Maintenance Of Vernacular Building In The Remote Area

The very development of tourism will have the remote areas that traditional vernacular buildings subsist into the fever of the tourism development.Howerer.the status of the development of these remote areas after the traditional exploiting models makes us indispensably be aware of that these areas are facing the unprecedented crisis, while facing the economic and cultural developing opportunities.Therefore.it will be an important and realistic meaning to explore the new models of tourism exploitation and development, and after which the methods of the planning and the design.The full thesis is divided into 6 chapters. In chapter l,it explains the realistic meaning of the research, expatiates the theoretical background of which, and defines several basic concepts involved in this thesis. In chapter 2,It looks back briefly the history of the tourism exploitation of vernacular building in these remote areas in China,meanwhile,the existent problems in this type of tourism are analyzed from several aspects, such as economy, residential life cultural protection and environmental protection etc.In chapter 3,It introduces briefly the beginning of the community tourism theory, and its development, international fulfillments and experiences, which comes to a conclusion that the model of community tourism exploitation is fit for the development of the vernacular building in these remote areas. In chapter 4,it analyses the social economic background of developing strongly the tourism in the remote areas, and putts forward the new model "community in benefits" by analyzing the current exploiting models of this type of tourism. In chapter 5,It defines the "protection" and its related concepts; analyses thoroughly the entire influence of the intervention of the tourism to the vernacular building in the remote areas; investigates it under the background of the history; compares and analyses the conceptions of the architectural inheritance protection in China and the west; On this basis, it leads the concept "feature maintenance" of the vernacular building in the remote areas after the model of the tourism development. In chapter 6,it analyses the changes of roles of the planning experts and architects, pointing out it is the core the participation of the community residents, meanwhile it discusses the problems have to be considered and the contents of residential participation at the levels of destination planning landscape programming and building design after the model of community tourism.It is the ultimate purpose and meaning of theoretical research to find out the practical problems, analyses them thoroughly and then put forward the solutions. This thesis leads to the new model "community tourism" that fits the exploitation and development of the vernacular building in the remote areas, and makes it the method to resolve the realistic problems, which have significant theoretical meanings.
