ASEAN's Perception Of China

The author tries to discuss the role of the ASEAN's perception of China in bilateral relations, and how the ASEN eyes the China, and the factors that shapes and influence the ASEAN's perception toward China. In the article, the author analyses the ASEAN's perception in three levels: the system level, the individual level and the inter-subject level, and then makes a case to analyze the ASEAN's view on the "China Threat". In the conclusion, the author discusses the importance of the perception in international relations, and makes some suggestions that it's significant for China to cultivate the gentle and well-meaning attitude of ASEAN.
