| Faith, as a spirit of human social life and spiritual life, itself is a kind of value form .The formation of faith has a process from Doubt, Investigation to Establishment. Faith is not only the source of national cohesion but the root of personality cultivation, so it is vital important to fortify faith construction. At the same time, Marxist faith as the main current faith in China is facing some problems, and this is the reason why we should conduct faith construction. Besides Marxist faith, there are some other faiths effected us, all these lead to the diversity of current faith, so we should take scientific measurements to strengthen faith development ,not one mold. Especially in the transition period, the establishment of market economy and the coexistence of multi-culture, under such conditions we have to create a common faith that coagulate our nation and society, and enhance the moral faith which is widespread in our society. As a result, the task of Chinese contemporary faith construction is tough and has a long road to fulfill it. This paper begins from the definition of faith, its formation mechanism and value, analyzes the situation of Chinese contemporary faith, its necessity, and the factors which is effected the faith development, and tries to explain how to promote the faith construction.
