A Study Of The Industrialization Of Expressway

The thesis makes a survey of the theory of expressway industrialization, its environment, management and developing strategy and mode adopted based on relative theories of management and economy, from a systematic viewpoint and integrating foreign experiences with China's actual condition as well. Not only does the thesis tell "what, why and how" about industrialization, it also puts forward the idea of holistic service system which acts as an improving scheme for present running mechanism followed by enterprises. The thesis includes seven chapters. Chapter one gives a sketch of the concept of expressway, its characteristics, developing scheme, problems faced and countermeasures. Chapter two analyses the input and output function and model, exposes the organization and procedure. Moreover, it shapes the theory of industrialization. Chapter three having studied the environment through Porter theory and summed up the strengths and weaknesses of the enterprise from the inner side, presents a guiding strategy for survival and development. Chapter four discusses the present operation system, proposes a collaborating mode between government and enterprises, that is BOT mode or PPP mode, details how to reduce the risk and finally, makes a specific research on the optimal operational duration. Chapter five guided by the idea of holistic service system, focuses on reinforcing the core competence and by using service blueprint, shapes the service system from the aspects of operation idea, innovation, system components, service quality guarantee. Chapter six discusses the client-oriented strategy, scheme and procedures adopted when an operation system is built, especially in the process of setting up an organization, choosing a charge mode and reforming maintenance. Chapter seven makes some comments on the problems faced and corresponding solutions to industrialization, by taking Ning-Hu Expressway Co. Ltd. in Jiang Su province as an example. Finally, some conclusions are drawn at the end of the thesis.
