The Study On Strategic Flexibility Based On Resource-Based View

Under the present complicated and turbulent environment, the management environments of enterprises have changed fundamentally, the uncertainty of the environment has caused the strategic discontinuities and more difficult to keep sustainable competitive advantage (SCP), thus put forward a set of new requests for management activity. In order to tackle the constantly changeable environmental challenge, training and developing strategic flexibility is the key that enterprises adapt to, even structure the environment in future.The study which just focuses on where to strategic flexibility result from and how to build and manage enterprise strategic flexibility will have great theoretical and practical implications for enterprises in practice. Firstly, this paper has carried on the survey of the resource based view and flexibility view in terms of the theory and research approach, pointed out the direction and point in this paper and the deficiency in the past study; Secondly , defined the intension of strategic flexibility in terms of resource based view, points out the formulation mechanism of strategic flexibility, namely strategic flexibility stems from resource flexibility and the coordination flexibility in the course of resource distribution, and has explained the value of strategic flexibility and strategic flexibility association with the environment; thirdly, have studied how to structure the effective strategic flexibility system-flexibility at the aspect of strategy, operational flexibility based on procedure and basic flexibility, and has probed into the question of estimating strategic flexibility from the efficiency , response , multifunctionality , stability, studied the way of strengthening strategic flexibility from inside flexibility and outside flexibility ; Finally , summarized the character of the present complicated turbulent environment , defined the intension of sustainable competitive advantage again, and has pointed out the relevant factor of strategic flexibility with new strategic logic and the way which strategic flexibility strengthen sustainable competitive advantage and ultimate form of expression.
