The second conclusion of this study is that strategic alliance is new type of organizing forms to exercise low cost and the advantages of differentiation competition. The third conclusion is that sustainable competition advantages of strategic alliance are created and sustained through the interaction of opportunity finding and assets reinforcing. This study is generally following the framework of SWOT, that is, the external circumstances and the internal ability are the two elements relating to sustainable competition advantages for firms. The stress is on the integrating of the two elements, combining the industrial structure theory of the external circumstance school and the firm ability theory of the internal ability school. Thus, the resources and ability within a firm create and sustain the competition advantage through the interaction with the industrial backgrounds. This study puts the industrial structure theory and firm ability theory in the background of modern competition and, by logic reasoning and case study, converts the industrial selection approach of Porter to the industrial innovation approach. The framework to create and sustain the competition advantages is to follow the external path of Industrial Innovation-Opportunity Finding-Strategic Alliance and the internal path of Industrial Innovation-Asset Reinforcing-Strategic Alliance, through the interaction of opportunity finding and assets reinforcing, basing upon the internal resources and ability and taking the advantage of those of other firms according to the rapidly changes of circumstances.
