It points' out that hard financing is a problem of the first importance for SMEs.Secondly, the thesis analyzes respectively current financing situation of SMEs, their financing characteristics and financing channels. It concludes internal reasons and external reasons of SMEs' hard financing. Internal reasons include deficiency of SMEs's operation capacity and financing capacity, small financing scope, being short of credit, etc. External reasons comprise law lagging, having poor support of fiscal policy and preferential tax, unreasonable financial mechanism and structure, low marketability of financial business and monopolization of state-owned commercial bank, lack of intermediary social service system, etc.Lastly, the thesis puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions to resolve SMEs's hard financing in three respects: SMEs, the government and financial institutions. SMEs should improve their own quality to enhance their financing capacity. The government should build good external environment to give positive support to SMEs.
