An Analysis Of Islamic Factor That In The Political Of Malaysia

As a part of the Islam world, Malaysia did not get the attention of political researchers, but, with the development of world Islamic movement and domestic economy, Islam become more and more important in Malaysian politics. This article integrated the background of international Islamic movement and practice in Malaysia as the time goes by, discuss the influence of Islam to Malaysian politics from the beginning of Islamic in Malaya to the latest general election.This article is made up of four parts. The first part discusses the political-religion relationship before the independence of Malaya. The second part discusses the rising of Islamic factor and the influence that the Islamic factor brings to between1959 to 1969. The third part explores the influence that Islamic revivalism movement, which dominated by Malaysian young student bring to Malaysian politics. According to the result of the general election in the year 2004, the fourth part of the article predicts the developing trend of Islamic factor that in Malaysian politics.
