(College of Economy & Management Sichuan Agricultural University Ya'an Sichuan)Planting vegetable is popular in Sichuan province; the sown area of vegetable takes 76.7% in that of cash crops in 2002. Now vegetable industry has been the first choice of adjustment of agricultural product structure in many areas of Sichuan province. But with the marketplace agriculture springing up, the contradiction between small product and wide market becomes more and more outstanding, and it leads to unstable income of vegetable farmer. As a spontaneous organization to protect self-benefit, vegetable professional cooperative plays an important role in solving the contradiction. However the vegetable professional cooperative in Sichuan province does not play completely. In order to release the potential power of it, this paper tries to find the problems through studying on it, then to search for the means of settlement.First of all, this paper analyzes the specialty of vegetable industry, the main modes of management of vegetable industry and situations of Sichuan province. I find the flexibility of the vegetable professional cooperative is suitable to Sichuan vegetable industry; it deserves spread widely. Basing on the acquaintance, combined to field survey, this paper analyzes the type, present situation and restricting factor of Sichuan vegetable professional cooperative, and then comparatively analyzes with the vegetable cooperative of USA. Through these researches this paper gets the general acquaintance of Sichuan vegetable professional cooperative, putting forward the countermeasures and suggestions.
