The vegetables industry of Beijing has a long history, which is in the highest flight of the rural economy of Beijing for a long time, and an important means to get rich for peasants and raise income in agriculture. With the development for many years, the industry has already been grounded very greatly and pluralistic development model has formed in the industry.Through collecting and putting the development, the current situation and the main measure of organic agriculture in the whole world and three main developed countries including Germany, US and Japan in order, the paper goes the development of environment-friendly food, green food and organic food in our country into particulars. And then it has summarized the common characteristic and intension of organic agriculture and summed up the connection and difference among the three types of food mentioned above.Meanwhile, regarding vegetables industry of Beijing as the main research object, and according to natural resources and the characteristic of production and sale, contrast the relevant characteristics of the organic vegetables, the paper has firstly investigated the basic condition and tactical foundation on which Beijing developed its organic vegetables. Secondly it analyzed and summarized advantage or disadvantage factor existing in the development of the industry in Beijing. Finally by analyzing comparatively it has confirmed that the development of the industry can be divided into two stages, including underway one and ripe one. As a result, it sets up main measures at present and the key tactics at next stage to develop organic vegetables industry.
