Study On Innovation Of Assets Management In Investment Bank

As an important aspect of innovation behaviors, finance innovation is the innovation in financial system, tools and products of finance industry to adapt to the development of economy.Assets management is a kind of financial service, which is provided by financial institution, means managing the assets entrusted by client within authorized range to get increment. In nature, assets management is investing and financing. In developed country, assets management has been the nucleus affair in modern investment bank. Moreover, the revenue of conventional brokerage is decreased in investment bank in China. It has been a common attitude in securities business that the new margin point of growth should be discovered and the center of gravity in affairs should be transferred gradually. However, there is an enormous potential in assets management. The commission gained from assets management could be the main incoming of investment bank and the other affairs of Security Company could be benefited from the developing of assets management. Assets management will be the most important domain in the innovation of affairs in securities business.However, there is more pressure on assets management of investment bank than before in China, such as policy and regulations from government, impact by capital fund, entrance into WTO and development of financial reformation. The monopolization advantage in assets management owned by investment bank is disappearing. The step of innovation in assets management must be quickened to make profit. It is necessary to design some kinds of products or methods with the character of avoid-risk and save-corpus. At the same time, there is practical meaning in study of collecting-capital assets management.In this paper, on the bases of modern finance innovation theories, the save-corpus products and collecting-capital financing in assets management of investment bank is researched. The method of finance engineering is employed and the practice of security market in China is also investigated. At last, some conclusions are summarized. Assets management will be the core-affair of investment bank and the innovation in assets management will be the core-mission. The way of assets management innovation is presented.
