Research On Financial Portal Systems Based On Securities Electronic Commerce

Securities Electronic Commerce (SEC) has emerged as a new business model for the capital market operating in the Internet era. Electronic commerce (EC) has brought about profound changes on the global securities industry. With few, If any, requirements for logistics processing, the securities industry is widely regarded as one of the most advantageous areas for EC applications. Now, EC is wildly used in the financial filed, such as online bank, online foreign exchange trading, online insurance, these largely enriched the meaning of SEC. As a new thing, SEC has been focused in our country. But, the model of SEC in China still stayed at a simple stage that just imitate the success case in the foreign country, for example, the Schmab company and E*trade company. Based on the requirement of the further development and innovation of our financial market, for the future developing strategic of our SEC, we should find out a way of developing which fitting our financial environment and representing the developing direction.Based on EC's conceptual foundation and operational scope, this thesis firstly undertakes a systematic and comparative analysis on SEC, as contrast traditional operations in the securities industry. Also, this thesis provides a comprehensive examination on the development of SEC In foreign countries, notably in the United States, in terms of developmental phases ,areas of applications, major characteristics and representative business models. Moreover, issues related to the development of SEC in China are dealt with by taking into account lessons learned from corresponding experiences in foreign countries. Specifically, the thesis make a number of strategic suggestions and explores appropriate business models for SEC, given a China context.Next, the thesis make a model of Financial Portal system using the method of financial engineer which based on the SEC. As a example, the model displayed one of the method to develop the SEC of China, which is concentrating on the studying of the online financial product. The design of this Financial Portal system is based on the existent SEC system, recombined the online security, bank, insurance, investment, financing and other online financial service in the frame of financial environment of China. It provide an all-around financial service plat for financial server and a concentrated financial portal for custom.
