The Application Of Project Management In The New Telecom Carrier

Before its' establishment, China Tietong (CTT) was a branch of MOR(Ministry or Railway), which served for railway transportation, and it's managed and operated under the scheme of planned economy. At that time, CTT's long-distance communication links located around rail tracks, and it owned only some urban communication network. After its' beginning of serving the public with telecommunications, CTT becomes one of the China's five major telecom carriers .In the face of stronger competitors and the fierce marketing environment, CTT focuses on the way of innovation and build its' competitive advantage-because it's very important for CTT to penetrate the telecom market as fast as possible and achieves sustainable development, It's also meaningful to break the monopoly situation and bring benefits to the public.With the investigation of the case of Ba Zhong company's establishment ,the thesis analyzes the main areas of project management such as investment evaluation , progress management, construction of teamwork, risk management , quality management, communication management, logistic management, building core competablity etc. According to the characters of CTT's innovation, the paper also makes a systematic research on a new telecom carrier's strategy for project management.
