Studies On Development And Optimization Of Port Cities Industry Structure

Industry structure is the core of economic structure. Studying the development of industry structure, observing conflicts and problems of industry structure, advancing new countermeasures to adjust and optimize industry structure, is an important task to advance rapid development of country economy and reliably transfer economic development style. With the development of reformation and opening, port cities become the development center of littoral. The thesis analyses on development of port cities industry structure, and advances measures and approaches of optimization of the port cities industry structure. At last, the thesis advances imaginations and suggestions of optimization of industry structure based on the example of Rizhao city. This paper is divided into 5 parts.1 The preface consists of research background, contemporary progress of subject both domestic and abroad, main technical approach and study purpose, on the basis of summarizing domestic and abroad research results, to discuss the meaning of the study.2 The constitution and development of industry structure of port cities is the main content of the second chapter. Firstly, according to the analysis of the development of industry structure of port cities, the development of port cities is divided into three phases: transfer, trade phase; port industry phase; integration and diversified economy phase. Then this chapter analysis the constitution of industry structure of port cities with respect to the following three aspects: port-side industry, sea-side industry, and inland specific industry; and also put every aspects into details by the method ofthrice industry classification, making out a more comprehensive table of industry structure of port cities.3 The third chapter analyses the development mechanism of port cities industry structure. On the basis of the second chapter, this chapter explores principle of the function of port as regards to the development of city industry structure, from four aspects of prospering city by port, prospering trade by port, prospering industry by port, good mutual-development of port economy, gradually and thoroughly . It expounds the important role the ports played in the development course of port cities industry structure, and emphasizes that ports are mighty motive power of the development of city economy.4 The forth chapter is to talk about measures and approaches of optimization of port cities industry structure. This chapter develops mainly from four sections: exploring port functions to advance city economy, energetically developing extroversive economy, prospering port industry, and strengthening economic relationship with hinterland to discuss measures and approaches of optimizing port cities industry structure and advancing economic development of port cities.5 The fifth chapter is the positive part. Taking Rizhao city as an example, this part, through analyzing the rising of Rizhao port and the history evolvement of industry structure of Rizhao city, points out that superior port conditions provide industry development of Rizhao city with powerful potential. Using AHP to judge the position of Rizhao city among 17 areas and cities of Shandong province, this chapter furthermore analyzes the actual state of thrice industry of Rizhao city, and puts forward the imagination to optimize industry structure of Rizhao city. According to the point of author, the adjusting and optimizing of industry structure of Rizhao port city should begin from three aspects as following: First, adjusting agriculture structure,advancing the development of agriculture modernization, forming diversified characteristic agriculture of opening port city. Second , following the law of development of port city, quickening the construction and development of seaside industry with port industry as principal port. Third, exploring seashore landscape, developing various tourism, merchandise circulation, finance and insurance, real estate, information industry, and serving industry, to accelerate the development of the third industry.
