Study On The Lack Of Tourism Function Of Chinese Classic Garden

Chinese classic garden is one of the extremely precious culture tourist resources, which has irreplaceable function in the historical and cultural city. It is the unique humane tourist resources, which attracts visitors. However, it is the bottleneck that the tourist function of Chinese classic garden has been lacked all the time, which has restricted the sustainable development of Chinese classic garden.This text regards classic garden of Suzhou and Yangzhou as the case, using the theory of tourism and horticulture, adopting comprehensive and analytical methods, such as sociology, marketing, behavior psychology and so on. Through diagnosis and analysis, for the first time,the author thinks that there are three aspects in the lack of tourist function of Chinese garden: The absolute quantity of visitor grows, while the relative quantity reduces, so the growth ratio drops. The tourists are too many especially in golden weeks, receiving facilities are scarce; Tourists are unable to appreciate classic garden because of artistic conception; The classic garden can not meet visitors' hope of returning to the nature. This paper analyzes three reasons, which lead to the lack of tourist function of Chinese garden, that is the Chinese garden itself, tourists and tourism environments. Finally, the author carries on countermeasure research by using the theory of products design and methods of marketing, then puts forward the measures to alleviate the lack of tourism function of Chinese classic garden.The paper opens up a new angle to study Chinese classic garden, that is tourism, and it also fills the gap between the study of tourism and classic garden. It has very important theoretical value and practical significance, such as helping administrations to change conception, paying attention to alleviating lack of tourist function, realizing the sustainable development of Chinese classic garden and so on.
