Theory And Method Of Economic Region Dividing Of Jilin Province

This paper aims to found the model of the theory and method of provincial divisionof economic region to offer valuable methods and tools for academic researchers andpractical operators in the field of division of economic region. The model will exert anecessary influence on the adjusting of economic structure and industrial structure,regional planning, city and town planning, regionalism and economic cooperation amongthe regions. To achieve the above purpose, the paper concludes the theory of provincial divisionof economic region that includes its definition, purpose, level, positive effect andprinciple. During the concluding process, I studied the theory and practice of division ofeconomic region in western countries, Soviet Union and China. Furthermore, I set up themethod model of division of economic region in a province through comparing manyother methods of division of economic region. The model develops the analysis methodof economy center, and synthetically applied the ways of city integrated strengthestimating, new breakpoint formula in urban division of economic region. At the sametime, the paper introduces the urban system analysis package (USAP) to divide thecounty regions. Thereby, the paper breaks through the limitation of qualitative study byusing measurable region analysis methods. The paper divides the economic regions of Jilin province into two levels, whichinclude city and county under the background of division of economic region of Jilinprovince. Then, the paper analyzed the role of division of the economic region to theadministrative region adjusting on the foundation of the results of Jilin province'sdivision of economic region.
