A Research Into Current Training Situation Of PE Brokers In Parts Of Chinese Developed Areas

As one of the leading bodies in the developing sports market, a PE broker directly takes part in the activities such as the sports competitions, sports economical activities and the transference of the sportsmen. And he also acts as a go-between among the sportsmen, clubs, sport associations, sports supporters and the advertising agents, and has become an indispensable positive factor in livening up the sports market and improving the sports course in China. In the light of the rapidly developing PE industry, there is an urgent need for the high-qualified brokers. But to date, in China, there are no steady and systematical professional institutions to train the PE brokers. As an reaction to the urgent need in the sports market, cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Zhengzhou and Changsha have held some short-term training workshops. In this article, the writer intends to engage in a research into the contents, effect and the methodologies of such trainings through an investigation of the short-term training workshops held in Shanghai, Guangzhou and Beijing to put forward some policies and suggestions in training the urgent needed PE brokers. By the means of referring documents, surveying by questionnaires, interviewing experts and statistics analyzing, the author makes an investigation of the current situation of the PE brokers training workshops held in Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou. Results: the PE brokers training workshops have promoted the identification of the PE brokers' qualification, tallied with the strategic need of PE industry and pushed forward the sports management organization and the team constructing of PE brokers. And they have provided the PE industry with manpower support and provided the participants with a platform for personal career design based on the talents' career design. Yet there is something unsatisfactory and deficient with the short-term training workshops. On one hand, they lack analyses of the demand for training which play an important role in the training of PE brokers as they are necessary and essential to the training programs and the prerequisite and foundation of other training activities. Due to the lack of analyses of the demand for training, in the main, the periods of the training workshops are short, their course are not reasonable enough and their teaching forms are simple and dull, lacking variations; On the other hand, the workshops also lack practice sectors, evaluation of training results and balanced teaching force, and it is too easy for the participants to pass the training and get a certificate, leading to the problems that the quality of training cannot be guaranteed and the rate of being chased out of the market for the participants are too high as well. On the basis of the investigation of the current situation of and the analyses of the problems existing in the training workshops held in the three cities, the author of this research paper suggests that the nation should enlarge the scale of PE brokers training, build up a high efficient and smooth channel for training, and build up and perfect professional training system for the PE brokers as well. Because of the economical tendency of globalization, we should aim at cultivating multiple professional PE brokers who can participate the common sports management independently. After entering WTO, the emphasis of cultivating talents resources in our country is to cultivate the talents who are ambitious and capable both in home and abroad. The training is a supplement and extent to the education of the formal universities, and the universities should set up a new major of PE brokers or sports agents to meet the demand for the PE brokers in the market.
