Research Of E-commerce Application Based On XML And Web Services

With the development of science and economy, E-commerce experienced the period of publishing information mainly, and the period in which internet works as the inter medium of commerce, and then it has been in a new age --"E-commerce on demand" .This brings on new technical requirement, such as the remote information exchange, communication between different applications on the heterogeneous platform and go through the firewall transparently. But both the traditional data integration methods and the traditional distributed computing technology have disturbing problems which are hard to be solved by themselves .It is necessary to look after a new application design method for Internet electronic commerce application constructing.XML can meet the requirement of data integration because it can define itself and can be expanded. The technology of Web Services can solve the disturbing problems of inter-platform, firewall, and so on. XML and Web Services lead fine foreground for E-commerce.After sufficient analyze and study in XML and Web Services, the paper brings forward a new E-commerce application design model-ECOD, which combines well strong transport capability of Web Services and agility of XML. The model implements a new E-commerce application architecture and a new data integration wrapper based on XML and Web services.With XML as data exchange standard format, Web Services as distributed computing method, the architecture realizes the transparent communication between heterogeneous applications through SOAP message. Data integration wrapper integrates data of different sources into XML data, shields the different of heterogeneous data sources, and realizes the integration logic and respond users through parsing XML documents. Besides, data can go through the firewall transparently because the wrapper is based on Web Services. This advantage has facilitated greatly data exchanging between commerce enterprises. Data integration wrapper implements the bidirectional mapping technique between XML and databases (RDB and OODB) and the mapping between XML and other heterogeneous data sources.Besides, the paper discusses the advantage in the application and research of constructing XML and Web Services in E-commerce.
