The Financial Holding Company & The Analysis On Its Management And Control

With the mixed financial system being the trend,the famous banks and other conglomerates almost became the Financial Holding Companies or Universial Bankings, such as Citigroup,Deutsche Bank,HSBC etc.Today, the financial industry of China meets more and more international challenges.How to take the mixed financial system,financial innovation into effect in a separated financial system environment become a big problem.Because of our young separated financial system and market mechanism,to protect the financial security is very important.However,the financial institutes have strong willings to extent their businesses into other fields under a high competitive surroundings.According to these effects,via the financial holding company(FHC),the strengths of conglomerate and firewall among financial businesses can be realized. This thesis is devided into four parts and organized by logic and the development of financial holding company. Chapter I-The Trend of Mixed Financial System.According to the history of international financial industry, we realized that Mixed Financial System is necessary to our country in long run; Chapter II-The History of International Financial System.It described the history of financial industry and financial organizational structure in USA,UK and Geman; Chapter III-The Theory of FHC.It explained the definition and catagories, strengthes and weaknesses, inside and outside governance of FHC; Chapter IV-The Practice of FHC in China.This thesis aims at matured FHC in foreign countries so as to find a way for our country to take FHC into play effectively .
