Yangtze River drainage area is the biggest artery of Chinese regional macro-economic from west to east. It plays important role for the national economic. Based on the permeation of information technology application, Digital City construction promotes not only the development of urban informatization, but also the improvement of regional economic which can provide new opportunities for the laggard western area of China. But in the practice of digital urban construction, many cities do not comprehend the mechanism of digital City development. Some of them didn't analyze deeply for the basis of their cities' development and conditions, some else expanded the construction blindly without careful analysis of demand and feasibility, resulted in ignoring the city's regional characteristics, and some others didn't obey the construction principle, and resulted in much unnecessary waste. Based on distinguishing the development mechanism of digital city's between east and west of the Yangtze river drainage area, this thesis tries to find out further otherness between them, and then discuss the suitable policies choice of the digital city's development in the area. The article includes three parts:Part one defines the research field by introducing concept and background of it. The research method and frame are given out in this part.Part two proposes the dynamic mechanism of digital city development, compares the different mechanism of digitalization construction of western and eastern cities in the Yangtze River drainage area based on the related statistical materials. And this paper takes out the reasons of the difference Part three proposes countermeasure and advice for digital cities construction based on their local features and conditions.
