The theory on tourism environment capacity has been developed recently, so far, in the world, concerning on the tourism capacity's research, it still be placed into the scatter and small district, and be at the practical stage of trial, having not been become a kind of mature theory and strong tool of operation. Despite, major nations and regions in the world at the process of the tourism industry development have ever met the problems, such as the tourism saturation, overloading and tourism contamination etc. Some regions tourism resources are suffering from destruction because of the long - term saturation and overloading. Therefore, the importance and urgency of the tourism capacity research have been aware of by more and more workers and scholars on the tourism department.This paper is based on the domestic and international relevant experts and scholars study on the problem .at the same time, I have put a high premium on the new situation about the tourism industry develop, especially the effects that has been made by the development of science-tech. moreover, I repeat define the tourism capacity and design a kind of method to measure the tourism capacity, which is at term of many targets decision.The paper is divided into five chapters, at first, it brings up the problem, from domestic and international tourism industry booming to develop bottleneck, pointing out the reason to proceed to tourism capacity research; Chapter 2 introduces the domestic and international relevant scholars and experts outcomes on this problem; Chapter 3 makes a conclusion on the above research and carry on a scientific analysis on the tourism capacity; Chapter 4 Based on the tourism sustainable development, gives my definition for the problem and then point out a new kind of method concerning on tourism capacity; Chapter 5 gives a conclusion and outlines the future of the study on tourism capacity .
