Corporate culture is a kind of humanistic management theory based upon business administration philosophy and corporate spirit. It embodies the unity, initiative and creativeness of the workers. It is one of the subsystems of social culture, a kind of subculture. Great achievements have been made due to the academic research of some scholars and the practice in business since its emergence in the early 1980s.Since 1990s electric power enterprises in China have paid much attention to the development of corporate culture and have promoted the new concept of management, which centers around human resources. Many of these electric power enterprises, such as Datang Power Group and Leiyang Power station, have taken into consideration their own specific situation and have applied corporate culture theory to their overall management. Corporate culture promoted the development of these enterprises. However, on account of various reasons, there are still many disadvantages in the development of corporate culture.Leiyang Power Station should development its corporate culture with greater efforts in order to be more competitive. They should take advantage of the experiences and models gained by other Chinese and foreign enterprises to build up its own corporate culture development system and objective model. They should develop its corporate culture on the basis of cultural integration, promotion and creativeness in an effort to help the enterprise develop faster and better.
