Based on the commitments to the WTO, from the day of ll,Dec.2004,China government will permit foreign investment can be used in the mobile phonetic businessand data business, establish corporation and hold 49% shares. In many countries, communication industry is always regarded as an industry of national strategy interest. Last year, the contribution rate of China telecom industries' to national economy was 3%-4% and it will be reach to 7% approximately by the year of 2005 or 2006.With the Chinese telecommunication industry has already entered mature period at present, the competition between the telecommunication operators has been aggravating. CHINAUNICOM's (CU) CDMA business has formed a core competitiveness that can surmount CU'S rivals and offer difference services. In this thesis, the writer first analyzed the developing pattern of mobile-communicational technology and its services in domestic, Second, the writer dissertated CDMA's predominance on technique and price, but also pointed out the disadvantages of CDMA on market orientation and coverage rate of the network. And then she discussed the competitive environment of CDMA business by analytic procedure of "Five Strength Structures", and looked into the future of CDMA business. In this thesis, the analysis system of marketing environment of CU's CDMA business has been constructed by SWOT way through discussing its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. The writer thinks the biggest rival of CU is itself and it will conquer these deficiencies that is most to overcome through the qualityexaltation and strategy adjustment. Finally, some practicable suggestions about marketing are given in the thesis, which based on these actions as follow: add industry chain's value, improve signal quality, follow various 4P marketing tactics, promote CU"The cooperative competition", strengthen the management of serving, operate business innovation and difference services.
