An Analysis On The Efficiency Of Processing Trade In Guangdong

On the basis of some related theories of International Division of Labor and International Industries Transfer, the author in this paper firstly states the internal advantages of Guangdong developing Processing Trade and the historical and current development of such trade. Secondly, the paper analyzes in details that the rapid growth of processing trade has expanded the capacity of earning foreign exchange, balanced the balance of international payment, boosted the development of the relevant industries, and attracted the foreign direct investment. Thirdly, it has also analyzed and discussed the economic efficiency contributed to GDP, employment, revenue and technical innovation by processing trade. Fourthly, some weakness and threats are disclosed on the basis of the above. Finally, some suggestions concerned with the Processing Trade policies are given practically, such as improving the supervision mode of processing trade, perfecting the structure of industries, enhancing the competitiveness of export commodities, adjusting the revenue policies and gathering the relative industries together, etc.
