The biggest hang-up in WTO agriculture negotiates is that there is no consensus in WTO members, owing to enormous differences existing in agricultural industry's development and trade competitiveness of agricultural product between the members. Many members form the benefit community in view of similar benefit and goal to raise the ability of negotiating, which demonstrates the grouping inclination in the trade negotiation. This paper carries on comparative analysis on the most representative Cairns Group and G20 among them, aiming at clarifying their background and essence of the trade policies and views in new round negotiation, and holding their interest relation and change tendency, and at last, judging durative and stability of the two interest group, thereby offering basic support for our country to set tactics of trade negotiation. The thesis mainly adopts such methods as index calculation and comparative analysis. On the basis of defining the research object and the current situation of studies both at home and abroad, it firstly analyzes the background of formation of Cairns Group and G20. Cairns Group is a interest group that consists of agricultural product exporters in order to promote their status in the negotiation, while G20 is composed of developing members with a little common interest, which are forced to ally so as to confront unfavorable economic situation. Both of the two interest groups play a great role in the trade negotiation. Secondly, it comparatively analyzes the development of agricultural industries and the trade competitiveness of agricultural products of two groups. The research results indicate that either of them owns greatly abundant agricultural resource and is in the significant position in agricultural development and agricultural product trade. In terms of themselves, trade issue of agricultural product is crucial. The members of the two major interest groups have certain homologies, as well as differences in all fields, which influenced the stability of the two groups. The index of G20's members has inclined to become more and more similar by gradually adjusting. Thirdly, the paper comparatively analyzes different proposal about agricultural product trade policies of the two groups. Cairns Group, on behalf of agricultural product exporters, strongly advocates cutting down tariff, canceling agriculture subsidy and restricting domestic support, while G20 requires developed members to call off the great amount of agriculturalproduct export subsidies and domestic support which distorts trade, and simultaneously offer special treatment to developing ones. Their position in domestic supporting and exporting competition is relatively close, but there is d ifference in concession of tariff and special treatment to developing members. In addition, there is discuss about main similarities and differences in agricultural products trade between our country, Cairns Group and G20 in the article, and consequently proposes the main tactics that our country should adopt. Personally, neither does the agricultural product trade of our country have a very strong advantage and an obvious effect on world trade, nor our country is equal to Cairns Group and G20 in both the development of agriculture and the influence power in the negotiation. As a result, we should pay great attention to our own trade characteristic and disparity between our country and other groups when joining some interest group. Finally, it makes suggestion about further researching.
