Groupthink is a phenomena in group decision-making,this term was first used by Janis ,an American studier ,1972.Janis used the term as a quick engage in when concurrence-seeking becomes so dominant in a cohesive ingroup that it tends to override realistic appraisal of alternative courses of action.Janis considered that the more cohesive the group ,the greater the inner compulision on the part of each member to avoid creating disunity ,which inclines him to believe in the soundness of whatever proposals are promoted by the leader or by a majority.I think ,the reason that the "Great Leap Forward"decision could be unanimous passed in a list of meetings of CCP is groupthink.Studying it has very important theoritic significance and realistic value.First ,it provides a new angle of view to see the "Great Leap Forward".Second,we can draw lessons from it,so as to reform and improve the decision—making mechanism of CCP.
