Measuring Integrated Supply Chain Performance

This research is part of larger and ongoing 2003 overlapping project of construction on national important discipline(belongs to Project 211)-Management Science and Engineering "The Research on Supply Chain Logistics and Operating Scheme" at Dalian University of Technology.Integrated supply chain(ISC) have been turning into new competing subjects in the marketplace. Despite the significant attention for SCM, ISC performance measurement(ISCPM) appears to be limited. To-date, the ISCPM design processes has not been examined to any significant extent.Combining the traditional enterprise performance measurement theory with the nature and characteristics of ISC management, this paper determines the scope, content, subjects and principles of ISCPM work.In line with the individual enterprise performance measurement theory, ISCPM system should reflect the strategy of ISC and its achievement. According to the layer upon layer strategic objects of ISC, five key performance aspect(finance, business processes, customer, environment, core enterprise ability) are found. These five key performance fields are significant for the formation and improvement of ISC and construct the framework of ISCPM system. Meanwhile choosing and fix capable lower indictors to measure these five performance fields.For applying above-mentioned ISCPM system to practice, system structure designing , model designing, and database designing are performed. Furthermore, using this computer-based ISCPM information system to measure a actual ISC performance and testifying the reasonable and applicable of the ISCPM set up in the paper.
