The Essential Connotation, Formative Mechanism And Influence About Internationalization Of RMB

The internationalization of RMB is not a brand-new conception. As far back as thebeginning of the 1990s last century, it was border trade and travel in the border that haddriven the flow of RMB in the surrounding countries and regions. Then someone had putforward the internationalization of RMB. In recent years, because border trade and travel in the border prevail, domestic scholarspay attention to this phenomenon. And more and more scholars start studyinginternationalization of RMB. The domestic scholars don't have unanimous views to theessential connotation of the internationalization of RMB. It is three kinds of opinions thatwe classify them. Then we provide the definition with our own characteristic. The process of the internationalization of RMB will be different to the process of otherinternational currencies. Regarding border trade and travelling in the border as ourresearch's starting point, we have detailedly studied the formation mechanism of theinternationalization of RMB, then we have analyzed the immediate cause of theinternationalization of RMB and deep reason. We conclude that the process of theinternationalization of RMB must be a gradual one. And it must be the dynamic evolution ofa natural internationalization and policy with unified internationalization. Once RMB internationalized, it would bring a very great influence including theimpact on economy of China, economy of East Asia and international economy. Theinfluence is different according to different regions, so it must be paid attention to and bedistinguished.
