The strategic alliance is a loosely connected framework between two or more enterprises, which is formed by all kinds of contract arrangements and can complement advantages and share risks. It considers the whole market expectations, general targets and risks of enterprises as the start in order to occupy the market make use of resources and enhance the competitive advantages together.Strategic alliances origin from the end of the 19th century and rise in the 1990s. In the 21st century, enterprises are faced with a complicated, variable and fiercely competitive market. Forming strategic alliances, in which participating parties can share the profit and risks, has been a strong trend. But as the main body of Liaoning economy, equipment manufacturing enterprises are at the starting stage in the aspect of implementing transnational strategic alliances. As viewed from the current developing situation, not only the quantity is limited, but also the mode is few. China bas entered the WTO, in the face of the reality, Liaoning equipment manufacturing enterprises must accelerate the implementation of transnational strategic alliances in order to prepare for the more opportunities and challenges.This thesis researches the problems of practicing transnational strategic alliances in Liaoning equipment manufacturing enterprises from many aspects. At first, it analyzes the favorable and unfavorable factors of implementing transnational strategic alliances, and then takes it as a break point to expand the full-scale study. Next, this article investigates the equipment manufacturing industry's own problems and synthetically describes the function of transnational strategic alliances, which can enhance the competitive ability ofLiaoning equipment manufacturing enterprises, and possible influence and impact they may bring to them. Aiming at the matter that enterprises in the majority have low ability to resist risks, this article not only discusses the risks that Liaoning equipment manufacturing enterprises may be confronted with in case they implement transnational strategic alliances, but also puts forward some constructive points and solutions about how to manage and control them. And then the article analyzes the handicaps that Liaoning equipment manufacturing enterprises may be faced with when they implement transnational strategic alliances, because of their own capabilities and the system, and proposes measures to overcome obstacles according to current situation. In the end, it summarizes the whole article and brings forward strategic suggestions about how to implement transnational strategic alliances in Liaoning equipment manufacturing enterprises.
