| Great changes have been taken in the international and national situation as well as the contingent of the party members since the fourth plenum of the 16th CPC. Contemporary developments set new demands to our party. How can the party stand the test of reform,opening-up, being in power for a long period of time and remain progressiveness and purity.Facing the various tests and challenges brought by the profound changes in the national conditions, international backgrounds and our Party positively and persisting in keeping pace with the times, pioneering innovating and actively researching the law of anti-corruption and constructing a clean party, The third generation of the CCP central collective leadership,represented by comrade jiang,put forward a series of new thought ,new concept and new thesis about rectifying party conduct and constructing of a clean and honest party which explain a series of fundamental questions about how to do well in the party's style of work and the construct a clean party under the new historical conditions,and finally establish a fairly complete ideological system for the construction of a clean and honest party.Based upon the analysis of forming background of the counter-corruption thought proposed by comrade jiang ze-min, this paper mainly explains the essence and causes of the corruption,and further interprets the importance and urgency of anti-corruption and keeping the government clean and honest.Then,the thorough analysis of the theories and practical experience ,such as guiding principles,the nature of the work,the strategic principle, the leading system,work mechanism and so on, has been done. The last chapter appraises the historical Position and distribution of the anti-corruption thought proposed by zemin jiang as a whole.
