| In this paper we study Zhang Junmai's thought of"modified democracy"from a political point of view. The paper consists of three parts. In the first chapter we introduce his thought of"modified democracy", including political thought and economic thought. The reason why I do not just from the political perspective is that political thought and economic thought are two-part integral. It is only an integral study of the two parts that is able to better grasp the"modified democracy". From the chronic perspective, the thought of Zhang junmai has some subtle changes from the 30's to the 40's. so we sum the idea of these two periods respectively. In the second chapter we make a philosophical analysis to the"modified democracy"based on the exploration of the root of"modified democracy". First, we analyze the idea from political aspect. We introduce the concept of positive freedom and negative freedom and analyze the viewpoint of freedom of Zhang junmai in the background of liberalism. Then, through the relationship between freedom and power, we make a deeper analysis of the problem of Zhang junmai's idea of the relationship. In the second part we analyze the idea from the economic aspect. We criticize the planned economy of Zhang junmai through the economic theory of Hayek. In the third part we analyze the idea from the philosophical aspect. We start from the essence and inclination of the whole of Zhang junmai's philosophical thoughts, and then we to figure out the main clue of his political thoughts and show the deep-rooted Confucian influence on his"modified democracy".In the third chapter we take a deeper and detailed look into the internal disharmony of his"modified democracy". Starting from his notion of"social justice", we compare his"way of rule"and"way of politics","freedom of the soul"and"freedom of the body"and examine his view of equality. We argue that these ideas stem from the origin of Confucianism. we conclude the"social justice",the view of equality, the construction method,The pursuit of freedom, are all deeply affected by Confucian. Then we study the conflict between nationalism and liberalism from the aspect of"national self-survival", and pursue another reason of his departure from freedom. Finally we briefly compare Zhang's third way as represented by his"modified democracy"with the third way of the west. Through the analysis of the chapter, we locate the crux of the disharmony as the confliction between the Confucianism and the liberalism. Confucianism can not provide a healthy philosophical soil for the"modified democracy"to grow. If we make the Confucianism as the basis for democracy and freedom, we are prone to get stuck to moral idealism, resulting in the complete undermining of the"modified democracy". |
