Exploring The National Security Conception Of New Leadership

Since the new central leadership, as President Hu Jintao to be the core, took office, the international and domestic security situation that China faced has undergone great and profound changes. Outstanding performance in the intertwined between traditional and non-traditional security threats, and coexistence and interactive increasing on domestic and international security threats. At the same time, with rapid development of her economy, comprehensive strength, China's international status and power and responsibility awareness has markedly improved, the country has been changing her international role from the edge of international system to the core. Under this circumstance, China's national security strategy must be adjusted and developed. This paper mainly discusses how the new leadership keenly grasp international and domestic security situation on the basis of the previous generation's outlook of thoughts, and conform to trend of the times based on actual situation, innovate and develop security conception with the characteristics of present phase. Meanwhile, this paper expounds the meaning of security conception, including security connotation, security threats and methods of safety maintenance as the foundation, referring to the current related safety theory, such as comprehensive security, common security, cooperative security, development safety and sustainable security to build a framework of analysis, which clearly show the security concept of new collective leadership.
