| Legal consciousness is one of the crucial problems in jurisprudence. Modern legal consciousness is the basis of citizen initiatively observing the legal. However, given the current situation, we have to say that legal consciousness of our citizens exist regret. On the one hand, more and more people safeguard their legitimate rights by legal means, fighting for the legal rights and interests, and resolve the dispute. All of these show that the citizens have become more legally conscious and progress. On the other hand, with the development of society, many old ideas, old traditions are still shackles of the thinking mode of our citizens. This paper is aiming at the problems of legal consciousness of our citizens, using the method of comparative analysis, it deeply analyses the problems of legal consciousness of our citizens from the legal consciousness of the concept and structure, and I put forward concrete suggestions that foster legal consciousness of our citizens In the process of modern legal system construction.This thesis consists of introduction, text and conclusion. The text is also divided into three parts.The introduction mainly introduces the current study situation of legal consciousness.Chapter one is the summary of legal consciousness and the research of legal consciousness in born and abroad. In part one, I expound the definition of the legal consciousness first, explains the connotation of the legal consciousness, introduces the characteristics of legal consciousness and main elements , analyzes the legal consciousness and the relationship between adjacent concept, expounds legal consciousness is the very important significance in modern legal system construction. In the second part, I sum up the general study of the current domestic academic circle on the legal consciousness, idea and research significance, and compare the generation of Chinese and western legal consciousness. This part could be the foundation for the paper. Chapter two, the current research of legal consciousness based on theory to explore the fundamental problems on legal consciousness of our citizens. First introduced the present situation of the legal consciousness of our citizens, and based on this, puts forward the problem of the legal consciousness of citizens, and made a deeply analysis of this problem. I think these problems are the result of the Influence on legal consciousness by Traditional Chinese Culture, legal consciousness education is not perfect, the lack of legal consciousness and so on.Chapter four. According to the problems raised by the second chapter. I put forward three suggestions about the cultivation of legal consciousness in the process of modern legal system. The popularizing-law education should be strengthened, deepen the connotations and construction of the legal consciousness of our citizens; make reference of their advanced legal experiences.In the conclusion part, I expounded the tenet of this paper again. Through the research of the legal consciousness of our citizens, it provides theoretical and practical inspirations for the construction of modern legal system.Through the full text discussed .I pointed out that construction of the socialist rule of law is the core of the legal consciousness of citizens. Therefore, we must attach importance to fostering legal consciousness of our citizens, recognizing the construction of the socialist rule of law is an important role, and put it as an important part of the construction of rule of law in practical work.
