Research Of Political Participation Of Residents In Ethnic Autonomous Areas

As we all know, China is a unified multi-ethnic nation. The stability of the ethnic minorities'autonomous regions has a very important significance to preserve our national unity. As a part of political participation of our national citizens, the citizens'political participation in ethnic minorities'autonomous regions plays an important role to improve the national policies and promote the healthy development of national work, and also has a great significance to maintain the social stability of the ethnic minorities'autonomous regions. Therefore, the strengthening of national political of citizens in study, have a great significance to maintain ethnic minorities'autonomous regions social stability and national unity.This article makes a case study at Changyang Tujiazu Autonomous County, which based on political participation for the proposition. The article contains the introduction and four chapters.The introduction summarizes the meaning of article topics choosing, relevant research about the theories and methods, and research process.The second part starts with the definition of political participation, and theoretically summarizes the meaning of political participation. This part briefly describes the main types, methods, and influencing factors of political participation, then inductions the characteristics, types and significance of political participation in ethnic minorities'autonomous regions.The third part, the status of political participation of the residents in the Changyang Tujiazu Autonomous County, briefly introduced the basic situation of the county. Based on the statistics of research data, this part analyzes the local residents'problems during political participation.The fourth part analyzes the factors of political participation of the local population. The first is education levels lag behind, followed by the lack of democratic traditions and economic backwardness which influence residents'participation. Then, this part describes some important factors which have led to non-institutional political participation. Finally, national consciousness and a large number of outflow workers are also have a certain influence to political participation of local residents.The fifth part is proposes countermeasures to promote the development of political participation of residents in ethnic autonomous areas. Measures covering education, economic, institutional reform, participation channels, political culture, inhabited Han nationality, and urban and rural residents. Hope that we can promote the political participation and the development of harmonious society in ethnic autonomous areas.
